There lies so many questions in the mind of a student who prepares for JEE – “How much time should I devote for JEE preparation?” “What is an ideal routine that needs to be followed?” “Should I take break?” and many more. In addition to this, students start measuring time while preparing for JEE. Measuring preparation in terms of numbers is a wrong strategy. A student devoting 12 hours of his time in preparing for JEE can score less than a student preparing for 6-hour time. So, the number really doesn’t matter, it’s the quality which matters the most in a synchronized way.
A balanced routine with a constant good focus can create wonders. Amount of time and duration or the phase of the day doesn’t matter. One can be more flexible studying during the day whereas one can study at night. But, one must make sure that he sleeps for at least 6 hours. The sleeping time has to be included in the routine for the preparation.
A student preparing for JEE first needs to build a quality routine which includes all the activities, i.e. studying, refreshment & sleeping. He must set up his educational routine in such a way that it includes every subject within a short span. The difficulty level should also be taken into consideration. One should not jump directly into solving hard questions which leads to breakdown of self- confidence. The difficulty level should be increased gradually from low to medium to high. It can become monotonous for a student to study constantly. There lies the advantage or the usefulness of the break time. A student can adjust his time in such a way that when he feels exhausted he can take a break for breakfast, lunch or even for other refreshments.
A student must not indulge himself only to book study;he must also go through various study materials. At Matrix Academy, we provide quality material to the students which help them during their preparation. We provide the students comprehensive study material which contains Daily practice problems, Chapter wise Exercise sheets, Theory notes and key concepts and Question Bank. All these enhances the students’ knowledge to a great extent. Moreover, it helps in building a proper knowledge of the upcoming examination with a good grasp of some tough questions.
It might happen that the student misunderstands that refreshment is referred to as playing video games or watching television. This is absolutely not the case. One should not waste time watching television or playing games because this causes a distraction and as a result one cannot concentrate.
A good routine is that where one studies for 2 to 2.5 hours at a stretch and takes a break for 15mins. The students are given complete freedom to build the routine of their choice which will provide them the best results. This is done under the guidance of our renowned faculty.
We wish all the students good luck.
Happy Learning.
