JEE Main 2021

Making the best out of the 4 JEE Main 2021 attempts.

In 2021 with 4 attempts to crack the JEE 2021 Mains entrance test, smart strategic planning for the exam can take you to the success. Let’s Explore how…

Kindly note that: The information provided in this article is just an experienced advice to the students to help them in making the most out of the 4 attempts in JEE Main 2021 for their success. We’re not asking to take this advice to be considered as a substitute for professional advice.

Things have changed for the JEE Main aspirants this year. We all know that this year, the National Testing Agency is conducting not 2 but 4 JEE Main entrance exams for students to get into engineering colleges in India. As per the 4 attempts that are going to be held, the best out of four attempts will be considered for the final percentile. All the four attempts are scheduled to be held from February to April 2021.

The JEE Main 2021 dates
Feb-21 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th
Mar-21 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th
Apr-21 27th, 28th, 29th,30th
May-21 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th

How many attempts should you take?

Well, we’ll suggest you to take all four JEE Main attempts if it is possible for you. Taking the all 4 attempts will not only increase your chances of getting a better percentile, but can also majorly contribute to get a realistic ‘mock’ test experience. The positives of doing this is that, you can get to know your weak topics, understand how an actual JEE exam pressure and environment feels like, and also to get into a more practical exam mindset. If you feel that you’re lacking in some topics or subject, you can thoroughly analyze yourself and can work on your weaknesses and improve your chances for getting selected in the next JEE Main attempt.

Considering your CBSE board exams, it is possible that your CBSE board examination dates may clash with one of the JEE Main attempts. In that case, you might have to skip one of your JEE Main 2021 attempts. As per the CBSE’s official date-sheets it is possible that most board exams are expected to be conducted late in April and May. We strongly suggest you to prepare for your JEE Main attempts to fit around your CBSE Board preparation as well, otherwise things can get really heavy and messy for you and can impact on your final results. Considering the same, you can take an example that, if you are from CBSE board, the exams for which are scheduled for May, then you have to deliver your best performance in March or April JEE Main entrance exams as you will be preparing for your CBSE Board exams from April onwards.

Some disciplines to follow for JEE Main 2021 success:

1. Take Mock Tests frequently

Take All-India Mock Test series every 3-4 days to test your preparedness. If one can manage to take mock tests every day, then it can seriously contribute to a much bigger success. You can take book based mock tests but we’d strongly recommend you to go with the Online computerized mock tests so that you can become comfortable with the online exam experience and interface over this period of time. We’d like to recommend you to take JEE Main 2021 – Test Series. We’re recommending this test series as this JEE Main 2021 test series comprises of 6 full syllabus tests carefully crafted by subject experts and IITians from all over the country. This online test series will definitely give you a strong practice over your preparation as you’ll be competing with the top performing students across India. With in-depth analysis this JEE Main 2021 test series will make enhance your subject hold and will help you in ensuring your success in JEE Main 2021.

2. Analyze your attempts

As the February JEE Main 2021 attempt is done and results are released, you can download the official answer key from the official NTA website and tally your correct and incorrect answers thoroughly which can definitely reveal your strong and weak subject points thus, helping you in making your weak concepts more stronger and to develop a better strategy for next attempt.

You can mark your strong and weak topics based on different color schemes as follows :

Color Code  Preparation status Action Required
Red My Very Weak Topics Strong Revision and Practice is required
Blue My Neutral Topics Persistent Revision required
Green My Strong Topics Can be practiced along with Mock tests

3. Revise, Revise and Revise… (The success Mantra)

Your persistent revision is mandatory and it is highly recommended to keep your self-made notes handy. Moreover, if you’re not taking NCERT books seriously then this is severely going to effect your exam performance badly. We’re not recommending to ignore reference books and to stay completely dependent on NCERTs. But, one must understand that NCERT’s are the core and the base of JEE Main Exam, so complete NCERT’s on your very first priority then prepare with reference books to strengthen your topics for exam success.

4. Avoiding wasting time on new concepts.

You must remember that it is not the time to pick completely new topics, putting some serious amount of time in those topics and holding your (Blue) marked topics. Focus on your strengths and weaknesses instead of creating new high hurdles for you. Again, we highly recommend you to solve mock test papers and previous year JEE Main papers on a very frequent basis.

5. Don’t forget about board exams.

Solve mock test papers for boards too along with your JEE Main 2021 preparation. Remember that you have to manage both the exams, boards and JEE Main 2021 effectively to achieve success. There are people out there who give advises to JEE Aspirants that “just focus on JEE Main exam, Boards don’t matter”. You must remember that, if you are a true success minded spirit you must learn to balance efficiently and work hard to achieve success on both ends.

Now, After 1st Attempt…

As the 1st attempt in February 2021 is done and results are already out…If your score is satisfactory to you and to the optimum qualifying standards then nothing can be more good than this. But, if your score is not good and needs heavy improvements then don’t be depressed. It happens. Now it’s time to prepare for the second attempt. Don’t forget that JEE Advanced that is your target and you have to achieve your target no matter what.

It’s time for the Second Attempt…

The second attempt is in March. It would be wise to score a good percentile in the first couple of attempts, so that you have ample time to prepare for the Boards and JEE Advanced as well. Nevertheless, after the second attempt, take notes and improve upon the topics that you might have repeatedly found difficult. Make it your goal to improve your performance in these topics.

Third Attempt after that… (Consider this your last chance for this year)

We suggest you to consider this your last attempt. You won’t have much time after the fourth attempt to focus on revision for JEE Advanced. You have already had practice from the first two attempts, and you only get one more chance after the April attempt. So, take this attempt seriously, and give it your best shot.

Now, that you have only one attempt left. Those who have scored well in any of the previous attempts can now start focusing on your preparation for JEE Advanced. Just take weekly mock tests for JEE Main. You have practiced enough to score well in the fourth test without any further special effort.

For those who didn’t score as well as you wanted, this is your last final chance. Make an effective strategy from the previously mentioned tips, execute the plan for the month and give it your best.

After the 4th Attempt…

You can now safely forget about JEE Main. Celebrate that you have overcome one of the hurdles and lay down your plans for other major engineering exams like BITSAT or JEE Advanced if that’s in your radar. Preparation is the same for this exam as well, only type and difficulty of questions changes.

All the best!

Prepare for JEE Main 2021 in 60 Days

Prepare for JEE Main 2021 in 60 Days with this study plan.

JEE Main (Joint entrance examination) is known to be the toughest engineering entrance exam conducted in India. JEE Main aims to test your core subject knowledge and intelligence. Lakhs of students apply for the JEE Main exam every year with an ambition to take admission in IITs, NITs and other CFTIs across India with various offered academic programmes like B.Tech. and B.Arch. etc.

Usually, Students start preparing for JEE Main from class 10th onwards as the JEE Main syllabus demands for a strong hold in class 11th and 12th syllabus. But there are some students who start preparing for JEE a bit late, the reason can be anything. Starting late and keeping the success rates high is a very difficult task but nothing is impossible if preparation is taken up with a strong sense of discipline and persistence.

As we all know that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting JEE Main 2021 in multiple phases this year and the first attempt (on February 23rd) is almost here and this article aims to guide you with preparation for further upcoming phases like April or May phase. Today, we’re here with some useful tips for JEE Main 2021 preparation in 60 days and preparation strategies to help those students who are starting late but are determined for success with discipline. In this blog we’ll discuss how to divide JEE Main 2021 syllabus for 60 days.

We suggest you to keep in mind that your preparation in these 60 days before the exam will heavily impact on your core performance for the JEE Main 2021 exam and will reflect on your JEE Main 2021 percentile, ranks and scores respectively. Furthermore, the 60 days journey won’t be easy for you and will strictly demand your effective time management along with your progressive attitude. Remember, not only days but your each and every hour spent during this time is a deciding factor for you to successfully secure a reputable rank JEE Main 2021.

JEE Main Syllabus division for 60 Days.

► Analyze the syllabus thoroughly and prepare your 60-day strategy.

Analyzing and thoroughly understanding your syllabus is the first thing that you should do. This is the most important and crucial step as this will lead you to make an effective plan. Thoroughly study the outlines of all the topics included in the JEE syllabus.

Note: Do remember to update yourself with the latest changes in the exam pattern.

Below are some points that you should consider and remember to follow religiously while preparing for JEE Main 2021 in 60 days.

  • Study for at least 8 – 10 hours a day.
  • Decide one complicated topic and one easy topic to be completed each day.
  • Must remember to cover topics from Mathematics in your daily study schedule.
  • Spare 2 hours daily to solve Physics and chemistry problems daily.

Preparation Days 60 days
Topics to be covered & Revised in Mathematics 16 topics
Topics to be covered & Revised in Chemistry 28 topics
Topics to be covered & Revised in Physics 21 topics
Total covered and revised topics 65 topics

After studying the above-mentioned table for topic wise subject division according to 60 days, it is self-understandable that topics are a lot more in number compared to planned days. Therefore, one must stay persistent with their plan. This plan is mentioned here to guide you with the timetable planning and effective syllabus division, you can change the division according to your own plan also, but remember to plan it according to the 60-day time frame.

Subject-wise JEE Main 2021 Syllabus division:

1. Mathematics:

Preparation Days 60 days
Topics to be covered & revised 16 topics
Topics to be covered & Revised per day 1 topic
Complete syllabus revision 16 days

2. Physics:

Preparation Days 60 days
Topics to be covered & revised 21
Topics to be covered & Revised per day 2 days
Complete syllabus revision 17 days

3. Chemistry:

Preparation Days 60 days
Topics to be covered & revised 28
Topics to be covered & Revised per day 02
Complete syllabus revision 14 days

After completing your revision as per the above-described syllabus division tables, the revision can be done in:

14 Days (Chemistry) + 17 Days (Physics) + 16 Days (Mathematics) = 47 Days for complete revision for all 3 subjects with remaining 13 Days to test your preparation.

How to effectively utilize remaining 13 Days?

Practice and revision are never enough, especially when each and every hour is contributing to your success and will be affecting it. These 13 days will be contributing to almost 21.6 % of your total 60 days crucial time frame, and that’s almost a quarter of the total preparation and revision time. Utilizing these 13 days effectively and efficiently is very vital for your success.

We strongly recommend you to use this time in practicing with model test papers and mock tests. These will add confidence in your preparation. Remember “success demands thorough preparation and preparation demands test before the final success”. So, use your last remaining days in testing yourself with actual questions. Try to appear for a full syllabus test series that aims to test your preparation completely and effectively. For your optimum preparation, we suggest you to take

Notes for JEE preparation

This is how to make notes for a Super Effective JEE Preparation.

What are perfect notes?

The secret for notes is that, there are no perfect notes. We believe that your notes are like your friends, who are always there to help you when you are about to get lost in a dense forest of JEE syllabus.

Remember: Your notes for JEE preparation are like your script for rehearsal before the final performance. Your JEE notes must be readable and understandable and should be a whole bunch that can make you confident and can save your time while revising for the final JEE exam.

► 3 Tips to get the best and most out of your JEE notes:

1. Preparing from someone else’s notes:

This is a very bad practice that students follow because everyone prepares their notes as per their understanding of the subject and their strategy of preparation. One can consider to take someone else’s notes as a reference to prepare but developing a practice to copy from someone else’s is not a recommended habit if you’re planning to succeed in JEE Main and Advance 2021.

2. Trying to make perfect notes:

Look, we’re not saying that you have to prepare your notes with a casual mindset, poor alignment or in a mismanaged format. But we’re trying to say that that instead of spending too much time and energy on “good looking notes”, try to make >SMART & Precise Notes<.  Smart and precise notes are the ultimate JEE preparation booster and also a lifesaver for JEE aspirants to revise lengthy topics easily and quickly just before the JEE examination.

3. Everyone has their own language (Language of self-understanding) and must prepare their notes for JEE preparation in their own language of self-understanding:

When you revise the concept after attending your classes, that is the perfect time when you should prepare your revision notes. We suggest you to use multiple study resources like recommended reference books and websites for preparing your notes while going through the concept along with your class notes. These notes will be the most practical to you because you will be marking down points in your own language using your understanding. This will seriously help you in retaining the concepts for a much longer time.

Remember: You should learn to summarize concepts this will seriously help you revising key points, concepts. Your notes should be super precise and can involve Keywords, Symbolic Diagrams, and Formulas as per your own convenience. Your JEE notes must be specific, covering the highlights and important points on first priority without making them lengthy to read.

► Bonus Tips:

         1. Do you know that NCERTs can also be a very good notebook for you?

NCERT is a magical book for you if you’re a JEE aspirant and this is a fact that the sooner you take this seriously the closer you’ll be to JEE success. NCERT should be the very first book you should master on but also, you can use NCERT as your notebook for adding new points and references from multiple resources. Add things that you find necessary or the topics that seem important. This will help you gain confidence in the overall JEE preparation using NCERT.

        2. Preparing notes right just after attending a topic’s class

A common observation suggests that preparing notes right just after attending a topic’s class tends to be efficient, concise and stays in memory for a much longer time because the topic you just studied is fresh in your mind, preparing its notes will be easy for you and will save you time without having any topic related doubts and confusion. The less words and useless information your notes carry the more successful they in saving you from completely re-reading a topic and revising with confidence for your successful JEE Main 2021 preparation.
